Thomas J. Malloy, 75

ADAMS, Mass. — Thomas James Malloy, 75, of 10 Charles St. died on Monday, July 9, 2012. Born in Adams on May 4, 1937, a son of James and Rita Cross Malloy, he attended schools in Adams. Mr. Malloy was employed for many years by Cheshire Highway Department until retiring. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. He was a longtime member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association and had competed in numerous horse pulls. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He leaves his wife, the former Rosemarie Strack, whom he married on Sept. 8, 1978; three stepchildren; four brothers, Paul and James Malloy, both of Cheshire, George Malloy of Adams and Edward Malloy of Plainfield; seven sisters, Joan Lagowski and Betty Jarvis both of Cheshire, Jean Jones of Salem, N.Y., Rita Beaudry and Judith Jolin, both of North Adams, Sylvia Noto of Pittsfield and Mary Carpenter of Williamstown. He was predeceased by two brothers, Alfred and Roy Malloy. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services and burial for Mr. Malloy will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
