Marjorie J. Bump, 80
ADAMS, Mass. — Marjorie J. Bump, 80, of 75 Commercial St. died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
Born in Thompsonville, Conn., on July 29, 1932, daughter of Philip and Ada Surr Boshoff, she attended North Adams schools.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Bump was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for a short time. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Her husband, Lorenzo Bump, died on Oct. 20, 1975.
She leaves five sons, Craig Bump and Scott Bump, both of Pownal, Vt., Bruce Bump and Christopher Bump, both of North Adams, and David Bump; a brother, Stanley Boshoff of Schenectady, N.Y.; a sister, Amy Bryant of Cheshire; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Deborah Bump, died in 1973.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mrs. Bump will be held Monday, Aug. 27, at 1:30 p.m. in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
