Drury Boys Rout Libertas Charter

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Drury boys soccer team Wednesday got goals from nine different players and posted its second straight shutout to take a 9-0 win over Libertas Academy Charter.
 
Ben Harrington led the offense with a goal and two assists, Paul George scored once and assisted on a goal for the Blue Devils, who led, 7-0, at half-time.
 
“We came into the game ready to play, and it was a great team accomplishment having nine different goal scorers and three different goalies combine for a shutout.,” Drury coach John Jacobbe said. “All players got significant minutes today, and that was a plus with three games this week.”
 
Camilo Alvarez, Landon Langenback, Diego Luna, Noah Arnold, Isaac Vasquez, Xander Murphy and Alex Bergeron each scored once. Bergeron scored the only goal Drury needed in the fourth minute of play.
 
For Bergeron, Langenback and Alvarez, Wednesday brought each his first varsity goal.
 
Max Soto, Tyler Mott and Ayden Mazzeo split time in Drury’s goal, combining for six saves.
 
The Blue Devils (2-2) are at Pioneer Valley on Friday.
