Drury Blanks Pioneer Valley

NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Ben Harrington scored a pair of goals, and Max Soto posted a shutout in net Friday to lead the Drury boys soccer team to a 2-0 win over Pioneer Valley.

 

Barrington scored the game-winner with an assist from Diego Luna in the 11th minute of the contest.

 

In the second half, Landon Langenback set up Harrington for his second goal.

 

“Drury keeper Max Soto had only four saves for the shutout but did a great job controlling his 18 and played a major role in the shutout,” Drury coach John Jacobbe said.

 

“All levels of the field from defense, to midfield to our frontline played solid leading to a hard fought physical road win.”

 

Drury (4-1) hosts Gateway on  Monday.
