Drury Boys Fall on Penalty Kick

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Gateway Regional’s Jako Fernengel converted a penalty kick in the 68th minute Monday to give the Gators a 1-0 win over Drury in boys soccer action on John J. DelNegro Field.

 

“Gateway is a well coached physical team and it was a great matchup for us,” Drury coach John Jacobbe said. “Both teams earned a PK. We could not convert ours in the first half and they made theirs late in the game.”

 

Blue Devils keeper Maximus Soto stopped five shots in the loss.

 

Drury (4-2) is home again on Thursday to face McCann Tech.
