Mount Everett Rallies Late to Tie Hoosac Valley
SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Guthrie Davis scored in the 78th minute Monday to give the Mount Everett boys soccer team a 3-3 tie with Hoosac Valley.
The Eagles scored twice in the final four minutes to pull out the tie.
First, Edwin Dobson scored unassisted. Then, Gavin Snyder set up Davis for the equalizer.
Hoosac Valley had taken a 3-1 lead with a pair of goals in the opening stages of the second half. First, Dylan Rohlfs found the back of the net, and then Ethan Dubis converted a penalty kick to make it a two-goal game.
The teams traded first half goals, with Drew Norcross scoring for the Hurricanes and Darius Taliaferro tying the game for the Eagles.
Mount Everett (3-1-4) is at Taconic on Wednesday.
Hoosac Valley (5-0-1) hosts Lenox on Wednesday.
