Mount Everett Boys Top St. Joe, Move to 3-0

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- The Mount Everett boys soccer team defeated St. Joseph, 3-1, Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Eagles led 1-0 at halftime with the lone goal coming from Matt Morehouse, assisted by Cavan Brady. It was Morehouse's first varsity goal.
 
St.Joe opened the scoring in the second half to tie it at one with a goal from Robert Patterson assisted by Mike Peplowski.
 
Mount Everett then put in another 10 minutes later when Brendan Dempsey scored his first varsity goal. Brady again earned the assist.
 
In the final six minutes, the Eagles added their final goal from Dan Litchfield to finish the game 3-1.
 
Ryan Meyer for Mount Everett totaled 11 saves and Joe Maynard had 17 for St.Joe.
 
St.Joe (1-1) travels to New Lebanon Wednesday afternoon and Mount Everett (3-0) hosts Hampden Charter.
