While Mother Nature continued her reign as the undisputed champion of late March and early April, this week's iBerkshires.com/Bedard Brothers Athletes of the Week turned in some standout performances in the games that did manage to get played.

Taconic's softball team is off to a 2-0 start with its first win over Pittsfield since 2023 under its belt.

Kylie Duhamel has powered the Thunder's potent offense, going 6-for-9 at the plate.

She has driven in four runs and collected three doubles.

Her 3-for-4, two-RBI day was at the heart of Taconic's 8-2 win over their city rivals on Saturday.

Taconic has a busy week ahead with three games, starting with Monday's contest at Lenox.

No one has been hotter to start the season than the Mount Everett Eagles baseball team, and no one had a better week last week than Darius Taliaferro.

Taliaferro was 2-for-3 in Wednesday's 8-5, road win at Easthampton. Two days later, he tore the cover off the ball at Northampton, going 3-for-5 with a home run and two doubles.

For the season, he is hitting .500 with a team-best six hits and three RBIs, helping Mount Everett to a 3-0 start to the spring.

On Tuesday, Mount Everett plays its home opener against Berkshire County rival Lenox -- the first of three games in five days against county foes.
