PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Dylan Rohlfs scored twice on Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team to a 2-0 win over Taconic.

Wes Emerson earned the clean sheet in goal on a day when he had to stop a penalty kick in the second half to do so.

Sam Pantano assisted on one of Rohlfs’ goals.

"For the final 15 or so, Taconic pushed numbers forward, and we looked to counter into space, but each team only created about one big chance apiece after the penalty save," Hoosac Valley coach Patrick Mahoney said. "Hard-fought from both sides and a fun one to be a part of."

Hoosac Valley (10-2-2) is home on Thursday for its Senior Day game against McCann Tech.

Taconic (10-3) hosts Ware on Wednesday.
