CHESHIRE, Mass. – Dylan Rohlfs had a hat trick Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team to a 6-2, come-from-behind win over Taconic.

The Thunder took a 2-1 lead at half-time off goals from Joshua Alvarez and Frederick Yankey (one goal, one assist).

But Lukas Mazzeo scored off a corner kick in the fifth minute of the second half to tie the game, and the Hurricanes took over.

“We had a great half time talk and asked the boys to get back out there and pressure them and frustrate them and get back in the game,” Hoosac Valley coach Blair Mahar said. “Our boys were quicker to pressure in the second half and began forcing turnovers. We really took control of the game with our pressure when not in possession and our movement off the ball when in possession.”

Sage Chilson scored the go-ahead goal from 30 yards out in the 53rd minute.

Rohlfs completed his hat trick with back-to-back goals six minutes apart, and Blake Mazzeo added the final score with eight minutes left.

Hoosac Valley (1-0) hosts McCann Tech on Thursday.

Taconic (0-1) goes to Mount Greylock on Friday.
