CHESHIRE, Mass. – Three different Hurricanes scored a goal on Monday in the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team’s 3-2 win over the Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School.

Blake Mazzeo, Evan Richardson and Drew Norcross each found the back of the net. Dylan Rohlfs assisted on two of those goals.

Hoosac Valley coach Blair Mahar said the team was glad to get the win but dissatisfied with its level of play.

“At times we had some nice possession and strung passes together to create dangerous opportunities in the final third,” Mahar said. “But we largely struggled to maintain our shape and play as the kind of patient, possession minded, technically gifted team that we all know we can be.”

Hoosac Valley (4-0) gets some extra training time ahead of a busy three-match week that begins Monday at Mount Everett.
