SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Ryan Davis scored in the 72nd minute Wednesday to give the Pope Francis boys soccer team a 1-1 tie with Mount Greylock.

Eamon Hetherington scored with an assist from Declan Rogers midway through the second half to give the Mounties a 1-0 lead.

“We lost 4-0 to these guys at home a few weeks ago, so the result today was obviously a sign that we’re moving in the right direction,” Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils said. “The boys are starting to settle into their roles and we’re getting more offensive production. The back line and Dan Warren were very good today.”

Warren stopped 12 shots for the Mounties.

Mount Greylock (2-3-3) goes to Frontier on Friday.
