Mejia Hat Trick Gives St. Joe Boys Soccer a Tie

CHICOPEE, Mass. -- The St. Joseph boys soccer team tied Hampden Charter Monday afternoon, 3-3.
 
Hampden took an early 3-1 lead in the first half, but St. Joe was able to retaliate, netting two in the second half to tie the game at three.
 
Jose Mejia netted St. Joe's only goal in the first half assisted from Chris Garrity; Mejia then came out in the second and added two more. Mike Peplowski earning an assist on one; the other came from a penalty kick in the 67th minute.
 
St. Joe goalie Joey Maynard had 14 saves.
 
St. Joe (2-1-1) hosts McCann Tech Wednesday afternoon.
