Monument Mountain Boys Play Amherst to a Draw

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Eliam De Los Reyes scored in the 78th minute Monday to give the Amherst boys soccer team a 2-2 tie at Monument Mountain.

 

The Spartans led, 2-0, midway through the second half.

 

Milo Potoski broke a scoreless tie with an assist from Sean Collins in the 49th minute.

 

Twelve minutes later, Collins set up Finn Mason, who doubled Monument Mountain’s lead.

 

Amherst got on the board with 10 minutes left with a goal from Ghulam Mujtaba Rahimi before De Los Reyes was able to level the score.

 

Monument Mountain keeper Calvin Cooney made four saves.

 

The Spartans (1-2-1) host Mount Greylock on Wednesday in a game originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
