PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kyle Cardoso scored in the second half Monday to give the Pittsfield boys soccer team a 1-0 win over Mount Greylock at Berkshire Community College.

Cardoso received a long clearance and beat two defenders before finishing at the near post.

First-year keeper John Mullen recorded his first clean sheet and second win of the fall for the Generals.

“Centerbacks Ethan Breitmaier and Drake Thompson were commanding in defense for the Generals,” Pittsfield coach Neill Brandon said. “And Daniel Mosquera also put in a very strong performance in Pittsfield's midfield.”

The Generals (5-6-1) go to Westfield on Wednesday.

Mount Greylock (5-5-2) is at Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
