Pittsfield Boys Tie East Longmeadow

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Mike Holmes had a goal and an assist for the Pittsfield boys soccer team in a 2-2 tie with East Longmeadow on Saturday.
 
The Generals (10-2-3) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 19 minutes of the game.
 
First Holmes set up Jackson Rich to make it 1-0. Then Grady Pederson flicked the ball from the near post across the box for Holmes, who fired a shot ito the side netting.
 
East Longmeadow cut the lead in half in the 30th minute on a free kick from just outside the 18.
 
In the 53rd minute, East Longmeadow keeper Jacom Milanczuk punted the ball over the PHS defense. Anthony Forest reached the ball at the 18 and scored the equalizer.
 
Pittsfield hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday at Kirvin Park.
