PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Shepherd Hill’s Nick Diamond scored early in the second half to send his team to a 1-0 win over Pittsfield on Wednesday at Kirvin Park.

“This was a tough loss,” PHS coach Andrew Antil said. “Shepherd Hill played strong and fast. We had spurts of quality soccer, but struggled to stay organized. Despite a number of chances we were unable to capitalize and one series of mistakes on our end was the difference.”

Avi Snowise made three stops for the Generals, who outshot Shepherd Hill by a margin of 7-4.

Pittsfield (2-4) hosts Lenox on Friday.
