Cardoso Game-Winner Gives Pittsfield Boys Comeback Win

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Pittsfield’s Kyle Cardoso scored with eight minutes left to break a 2-2 tie and give the Generals a 3-2, come-from-behind win over Westfield on Monday.
 
Cardoso headed in a deep cross from Ethan Breitmaier for the ninth-grader’s fourth goal of the season.
 
The Bombers took a 2-1 lead into half-time after scoring twice in the first 15 minutes.
 
Danny Kankam scored an unassisted goal in the first half to keep Pittsfield within a goal.
 
Kankam then tied the score with an assist from Kasey Miranda to set the stage for Cardoso’s game-winner.
 
Pittsfield (2-5-1) goes to Monument Mountain next Tuesday.
