Bridges' Hat Trick Lifts Lenox Boys to Western Mass Final

LENOX, Mass. -- Ian Bridges started the game with a natural hat trick, and the Lenox boys soccer team went on to a 6-0 win over Smith Vocational in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D tournament on Saturday night.

Gabe Merino set up Bridges for the game-winner in the 12th minute of play. Bridges added another with an assist from Finn Jolly to send the Millionaires to half-time up, 2-0.

In the 52nd minute, Michael Butler set up Bridges to make it 3-0.

Luke Gamberoni, Butler and Emmitt Shove added insurance goals.

Third-seeded Lenox (5-11) moves on to Tuesday's regional championship game against No. 1 Westfield Tech at West Springfield High School at 7 p.m.
