Lee Girls Rout Commerce

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Cara Korte scored a pair of goals Friday as the Lee girls soccer team beat Commerce, 9-1.

 

The Wildcats took a 6-0 lead into half-time after five different players found the back of the net.

 

Jenna Simone, Giana Carlino, Ava Lucy, Hannah McDonough and Olivia Guinan each scored a first-half-goal, and one score went in the books as an own goal.

 

In the second half, Lily Hassmer scored before Korte put two goals in the net less than two minutes apart to complete the scoring.

 

Maddy Kotek stopped five shots to earn the win in goal.

 

Lee (9-2) hosts Mount Everett on Monday.
