LEE, Mass. -- Erica Broderick registered a natural hat trick in the first half to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over Lee on Friday afternoon.

Broderick assisted on the lone goal of the second half, setting up Crista Cardillo, who also had an assist on one of Broderick's tallies.

Emily Shaw made two saves to earn the shutout.

Brianna Hawley stopped 13 shots for the Wildcats (8-8-2).

"This was a great game for Brianna in goal being able to save the onslaught of shots by Monument," Lee coach Lauren Finnegan said. "The second half of the game was much better defensively for Lee, allowing only one goal."

Both the Spartans (11-6) and Wildcats will learn on Monday who they will face to open the MIAA Western Mass tournament.
