Drury Girls Open with Win Over Mount Everett

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Alyssa Russell scored the game-winner in the 11th minute, and the Drury girls soccer team added three insurance goals after the break to earn a 4-0 season-opening win over Mount Everett on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Elli Miles, Hailey Kingsley and Kayla McGrath each scored a goal for the Blue Devils. Miles and Maddie Saunders each had an assist.
 
Brooke Bishop made two saves to earn the shutout win in goal.
 
Emma Goewey stopped 11 shots for the Eagles.
 
Drury (1-0) goes on the road to face Gateway on Thursday.
 
Mount Everett (0-1) goes to Taconic on Thursday.
