McCann Tech Girls Battle Ware to a Draw

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Ninth-grader Bella Lefevre made 12 saves Thursday to backstop the McCann Tech girls soccer team to a 2-2 tie against Ware on Senior Day in the hive.

 

Zoe Kratz and Graclyn Wojieck each scored a goal, and Lizzie Therrien and Jordyn Lloyd each had an assist for McCann Tech.

 

“Gritty tie in a hard fought match against a tough Ware squad,” Hornets coach Lindsay Lincolin said. “After our player suffered an injury late in the second half, we harnessed our strength and notched a great goal. I’m proud of our heart and teamwork. Ultimately we lost [the lead] in the last five minutes on a penalty kick.”

 

McCann Tech (6-2-5) hosts St. Mary’s on Monday.
