McCann Tech Girls Soccer Falls at Central

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Springfield Central girls soccer team Tuesday used its accurate shooting from distance to earn a 5-0 win over McCann Tech.

 

Hornets coach Lindsay Lincoln said, despite the score, she was encouraged by her team’s play, particularly its tenacity on 50/50 balls.

 

“While the final score reflects goals scored from outside the 18-yard box—including a well-executed corner kick—sometimes you have to credit the opponent for delivering high-quality goals,” Lincoln said. “We played hard, executed our game plan, and will carry these positive takeaways into our next match.”

 

Bella Lefevre and Dakota Hurlbut split time in McCann Tech’s goal, combining for 10 saves.

 

McCann Tech (1-4-2) hosts Springfield International Charter on Friday.
