Ware, Weather Stop McCann Tech Girls

WARE, Mass. – The Ware girls soccer team scored a goal in the first half, and weather forced the game to be called at half-time with the McCann Tech girls trailing, 1-0.

“It felt like a breakthrough was just a matter of moments away,” Hornets coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “To have that kind of momentum completely cut short by the elements is incredibly frustrating—it leaves us with a massive sense of unfinished business especially since our first time around ended in a draw with Ware.”

Bella Lefevre stopped five shots in goal for the Hornets.

McCann Tech (2-9-2) finishes the regular season on Tuesday at St. Mary’s of Westfield.
