Harrington's Hat Trick Lifts Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Brooke Harrington started the game with a natural hat trick, and the Wahconah girls soccer team went on to a 6-1 win over Agawam on Monday.

 

Gianna Heilbroun converted a penalty kick and set up two of Harrington’s goals. Leah Melle added two second-half goals, one on an assist from Harrington.

 

“Our defense, with Mia Thomas and Gracey Farley anchoring,  worked together, and really set the pace of the game,” Wahconah coach Maggie Rivers said. “Our midfield pieced together several key opportunities and our forwards finished the job.”

 

Vivian Higuera made five saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Wahconah (1-1) is at Pittsfield on Wednesday.
