Wahconah's Dougherty Named Berkshire North MVP

Wahconah senior Amelia Dougherty has been voted the league MVP by the Berkshire County Northern Division girls soccer coaches.
 
Dougherty helped lead her team into the Western Massachusetts Division, assisting on the tying goal in a dramatic 2-1 win over North rival and top-seeded Monument Mountain in the sectional semi-final.
 
Dougherty is joined by four of her Wahconah teammates on the all-league first team: junior forward Arden McKnight, senior midfielder Emmy Cote, and backs Ashley Zink and Briana Kasala.
 
Monument Mountain also placed five players on the first team, including two out of the three sophomores to earn the honor: forward Aubrey Blanchard and middie Meri Powell.
 
Hoosac Valley fullback Alie Mendel was the third sophomore on the first team.
