Anna Doyle Goal Lifts Wahconah Girls to Comeback Win

AGAWAM, Mass. – Anna Doyle scored with just more than 2 minutes left to play to give the Wahconah girls soccer team a 3-2, come-from-behind victory over Agawam on Thursday.
 
The hosts led, 2-0, midway through the second half.
 
Olivia Gamberoni got Wahconah on the board in the 58th minute when she broke through the defense to get a 50/50 ball from Dani Barry.
 
Gamberoni also scored the tying goal, with an assist from Wahconah keeper Edrie Collins.
 
Then, with 2 minutes, 2 seconds left to play, Elena Iovieno set up Doyle for the game-winner.
 
Collins stopped 11 shots to earn the win in goal.
 
Wahconah (4-7-3) hosts Hampshire on Wednesday.
