Mount Greylock Girls Win at Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Mount Greylock girls soccer team Friday took a 2-0 half-time lead and went on to a 3-1 win over Pittsfield at Kirvin Park.

 

Tanley Drake, Rowan Apotsos and Emma Steubner each scored a goal for the Mounties.

 

Nora Hammill had a second-half goal for the Generals, who got eight saves from Ella Kroboth.

 

“Mount Greylock has skilled, fast players and I could not be more proud of how we approached this game,” PHS coach Molly West said. “Asia Smith-Moody was fantastic defensively and Sophia Schnakenburg continues to be a strong central midfielder. Abbey Wong also continues to be an overall positive player. Losing is tough, but I could not be more proud of how we are getting better every game.”

 

The Generals (1-4) host Monument Mountain on Tuesday.

 

Mount Greylock (5-0) is at Lenox on Tuesday.
