SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Lily Lesieur scored midway through the second half Wednesday to give the Mount Greylock girls soccer team a 1-0 win over Mount Everett.

Clara McWeeny set up the game-winner as the Mounties finally found a way to solve Eagles keeper Emma Goewey, who ended up with 22 saves.

“Mount Greylock dominated for the majority of the contest,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “Our girls hung tough and at the end we had some chances to tie it which is a huge improvement from the last time we played them.”

Delaney Babcock made three saves to earn the win in goal.

Mount Greylock (12-3-1) hosts Hoosac Valley on Friday.

Mount Everett (3-10-3) goes to Hoosac Valley on Sunday.
