Pittsfield Girls Fall at Frontier

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. – The Frontier girls soccer team Monday scored three times in the second half to earn a 3-0 win over Pittsfield.

“Today was a series of unfortunate events: The bus was late getting us to the field so a very short warm up, and we were not at full capacity due to illnesses,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “But even then we played alright in the first half. We had a few chances and moved the ball upfield pretty well.

“The tide turned in the second half, when we had a PK awarded to the other team. We seemed to lose steam and had too many breakdowns in the midfield and outside fullbacks.”

Skyler Steele, Maia Allium and Maggie Nichols each scored a goal for Frontier.

Ella Kroboth made six saves for the Generals.

Pittsfield (6-7) is home against McCann Tech on Wednesday.
