Easthampton Girls Down Lenox

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – Samone Young had a hat trick Monday to lead the Easthampton girls soccer team to a 5-2 win over Lenox.

 

“We didn’t come out with the energy or discipline we needed today, and it showed,” Lenox coach William Welch said. “We’ll regroup and be better prepared for the next one. That said, there were positives — we’re moving the ball better every game, and our young players are growing up fast and holding their own.”

 

Cate Welch and Reeva Patel each scored for the Millionaires, who got assists from Morgan Chevalier and Jane Elliot.

 

Jocelyn Coco-Gilardi made 12 saves in Lenox’s goal.

 

The Millionaires (1-2) host Pittsfield on Tuesday.
