Lenox, Drury Girls Play to a Draw
LENOX, Mass. – Jocelyn Coco-Gilardi made nine saves Friday to backstop the Lenox girls soccer team to a 2-2 tie against Drury.
Lilly Mirante and Megan McGrath scored for Drury, which earned its first point of the season.
Jane Elliot and Lauren Bridges each scored for the Millionaires.
“What makes this team so exciting is not just the skill on display, but the heart,” Lenox coach William Welch said. “Against a physical opponent, this young and undersized group once again showed real grit and tenacity. Jane and Lauren gave us two big goals — with Lauren hitting a rocket from outside the box — and Jocelyn came up with some clutch saves to keep us in it.”
Lenox (1-3-1) hosts Wahconah on Tuesday.
Drury (0-3-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Tuesday.
