NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- Jenny Collins scored in the 50th minute to break a 1-1 tie and send the Lenox girls soccer team on to a 3-1 win over Northampton on Wednesday.

The teams went to half-time knotted after Aliza Munch scored an early goal for the Millionaires and the Blue Devils came back with a goal by Sofia Ciaglo in the 31st minute.

"After that, Lenox goalkeeper, Ella Hall (seven saves) was a brick wall, shutting down counter-attack and breakaway after breakaway," Lenox coach Brian Seminara said.

Ten minutes into the second half, Solia Herndon-Schmid set up Collins for the game-winner.

"Jenny was able to take advantage of the slick grass playing surface and send a hard and low shot past the keeper for the go ahead goal, but it wasn't until Medeja's insurance goal that we felt some relief of pressure," Seminara said.

Medeja Rudzinskaite scored midway through the second half to give Lenox a two-goal cushion.

The Millionaires (6-2) go to Monument Mountain on Saturday.
