LENOX, Mass. -- Emmy Finnegan and Kendall Bodak each had a hat trick Tuesday to lead the Moson girls soccer team to a 7-2 win over Lenox.

The Mustangs broke open a 1-1 game with four goals in a nine-minute span in the first half.

"For first 26 minutes, game was tied, but with their second goal Monson stepped on the gas pedal and didn't let off," Lenox coach Brian Seminara said.

Maddie Pope scored with an assist from Jocelyn Fairfield midway through the first half to tie the game at 1-1 for the Millionaires.

Bodak scored seven minutes later to give Monson the lead for good.

In the second half, Medeja Rudzinskaite scored for Lenox with an assist from Pope.

Ella Hall made 21 saves in the Millionaires' goal.

"Lenox fought hard, our keeper Ella made more than her fair share of saves to keep us in the game," Seminara said. "The second half we fought hard for the second [goal], and then we kept pushing for the third goal, even hitting crossbar, but the deficit was too hard to overcome. Overall, it was great to see the Lenox ladies never give up."

Lenox (1-2-1) goes to Southwick on Thursday.
