Lee Wins State Tournament Opener

LEE, Mass. -- Kassidy Clark Thursday distributed 16 assists as the Lee volleyball team swept Greenfield in the first round of the Division 5 State Tournament.

 

Lexi Masten and Hannah Achurra recorded seven kills apiece in the 25-19, 25-23, 25-14 win.

 

Masten pulled up 10 digs and served seven aces. Achurra served six aces and recorded 12 digs.

 

Eleventh-seeded Lee (12-7) advances to the tournament's round of 16, where it will face either No. 6 Baystate Academy Charter or No. 38 Hampden Charter School of Science, who play on Friday evening.
