PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ella Stodden passed out 25 assists Monday to lead the Taconic volleyball team to a three-set win over Mount Everett.

Stodden also pulled up eight digs and served five aces in the 25-16, 25-18, 25-13 win.

“We played some of our best volleyball tonight with lots of offense and very few errors,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “We did struggle with our serving in the second set but shook it off and came in on fire in the third.

“The third set was our first opportunity this season to show off the future of Taconic Volleyball with all five of our sophomores running the show. They played aggressively and worked really well together. The future of this team is not only bright, but very exciting.”

Natalia Dos Santos had 17 digs and three assists. Janaya Jones had a team-high eight kills, and Navaeah Williams delivered seven kills.

Fyfe said Jones sat out the third set, giving the floor to Taconic’s 10th-graders, including Fernanda DeSiqueira, who came off the bench to deliver three kills and two aces.

Taconic (7-4) goes to Holyoke on Wednesday.
