PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Olivia Perez put down four kills and passed out 12 assists Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Taconic.

Perez also finished with a block an ace in the Mounties’ season-opening win.

Tyanna Lepicier had five aces and five kills. And Elise States and Jillian DeChaine finished with five kills and five aces, respectively.

Kaleigh Jaros matched Perez with 12 assists and served three aces.

Taconic’s Sophie Aubin pulled up 12 digs, and Aliyah DelSonno put down eight kills. Ella Stodden recorded 10 assists for the short-handed Thunder.

“With senior starters Lexi Murphy-Malloy and Fernanda DeSiqueira out, we needed to dig deep and minimize our mistakes,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “Nobody can argue that we didn't play hard, but ultimately Mount Greylock played a much cleaner game, and it was our small mistakes that handed the night over to Mount Greylock's victory.”

Mount Greylock (1-0) hosts Lee on Friday.

Taconic (0-1) hosts Lenox on Friday.
