Taconic Wins Third Straight

SOUTHWICK, Mass. – Frances Macioge and Aurora Rose-DiMarco each passed out eight assists Monday as the Taconic volleyball team earned a three-set win over Southwick.

 

The Thunder overcame a rocky start to win the first set in extra points on the way to a 26-24, 25-13, 25-19 victory.

 

“Adriana Soasti had her best night of the season and really stood out in the second set with an early eight-point serving run putting us up, 11-2,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “She finished the night with six kills, six aces and three digs.”

 

Mollie Crawford matched Soasti with six aces. Gracelyn Cormier registered four kills.

 

Taconic (5-3) takes a three-game winning streak into Wednesday’s home match against Wahconah.
