Youngsters Lead Monument Mountain Volleyball Past Granby

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Reina Park passed out 25 assists to direct the offense and lead the Monument Mountain volleyball team to a three-set win over Granby on Wednesday.

 

Park also finished with five assists in the 25-19, 25-18, 25-10 win.

 

“Freshman setter Reina Park started her first game of the season,” Monument Mountain coach Kyle Henry said. “She took charge and ran the offense allowing the hitters to keep the pressure on Granby.”

 

Two other ninth graders played big roles in the Spartans’ second win to open the season. Harper Godwin was a perfect 15-for-15 at the service line and served three aces. Khloe Koldys recorded four aces to go with three kills.

 

Monument Mountain (2-0) is at Duggan Academy on Tuesday.
