PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Pittsfield volleyball team Thursday rallied from down two sets to none to take a five-set win from Taconic in the regular season finale for both teams.

The Generals prevailed, 17-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 16-14, to get their first win in three tries against the Thunder this fall.

One highlight for Taconic on the night was the continued strong play of Natalia Dos Santos, who anchored the Thunder’s defense with 37 digs while also serving three aces and picking up two kills and two assists.

“Her ‘next play’ and ‘I want every ball’ attitude was really impressive and motivating,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “Some of the plays she made and balls that she got to were absolutely insane.”

Taconic (13-7) and Pittsfield (7-13) learn Monday who they will face in the first round of their respective state tournaments.
