Lee's Holian Sets Season Standard for County Bowlers

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Lee's Emily Holian Friday rolled the top game and series in the Berkshire County league this winter to lead the Wildcats to a 3-0 win over Monument Mountain.
 
Holian rolled a 246 on her way to a 446 series.
 
The 246 was 10 pins better than top boys score on Friday, a 236 from Ryan Russo, who led Pittsfield to a 3-0 win over Mount Everett.
 
Russo also had a 444 series on Friday, setting the season mark for a single game and a series for the boys this season.
 
Russo was backed up by a 222 game from teammate Matt Dupuis as the Generals retained their one-point lead over Lee in the season standings.
 
Friday's other varsity winner at Cove Lanes was Taconic, which took a 2-1 win from McCann Tech to take sole possession of third place in the league.
 
The Thunder got a 203 game and 367 series from Mitch McCann.
 
McCann Tech was led by Michael Oakes, who rolled a 216 game and 387 series.
 
The league goes to K&M Lanes in Pittsfield on Friday, when Taconic takes on Pittsfield. Lee will roll against Mount Everett, and McCann Tech will face the Spartans.
