PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Berkshire County cleaned up Sunday at the Bowling Individuals State Championships at K&M.

Lee's Maddy Kotek led a Wildcat sweep of the top three positions in the girls competition.

Taconic's Luzis Brown finished second in the boys tournament.

Brown rolled a 194 in the semi-finals to be the top qualifier going into the match play phase of the competition.

Brown waited it out while St. John's of Shrewsbury's Nick Cariglia, who rolled a 300 at Saturday's state teams tournament, edged Monument Mountain's Noah Walker, 201-196, and Carson Stromwell of Pope Francis, 171-168.

Cariglia then got past Brown, 246-233, in the final.

Kotek was dominant.

She rolled two 200 games in her first three games in qualifying and a 180 that was the best in the semi-finals to grab the No. 1 seed going to match play.

Lee's Lauren Scheuer advanced in the first girls match, beating Taconic's Danielle Mathes in a roll-off after each threw a 124. Devyn Fillio beat Scheurer in the next round, 143-116, to advance to the final against Kotek.

Kotek beat Fillio, 181-146, as the Wildcats took the gold (Kotek), silver (Fillio) and bronze (Scheurer).

Brown and Walker each were named to the boys all-tournament team. Fillio, Kotek, Mathes, Scheurer and Taconic's Abby Bliss were named all-tournament on the girls side.
