McCann Tech's Vallone Rolls Perfect Game at Ken's Bowl

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Brandon Vallone Friday got the Berkshire County League high school bowling season going in fine style.
 
Vallone rolled the fourth perfect game in league history and the first in four years to lead the McCann Tech Hornets to a 3-0 win over Drury at Ken’s Bowl.
 
Vallone rolled a 548 series, the best in the league’s 14-year history, edging out the 547 rolled by Tom Hankey in 2016.
 
Vallone was backed up by teammate Jared Blondon, who averaged a 201 in his two games.
 
Opening Day’s second-best series came from Wahconah’s Alex White, who rolled a 235-227. To help his team defeat Mount Greylock.
 
Pittsfield and Lee also earned team wins, defeating Taconic and Mount Everett, respectively.
 
Lee’s Adam Dingman had Friday’s second-best game, a 236. Pittsfield was led by A.J. Moore with a 435 series.
 
Among the girls, Mount Greylock’s Taylor Callahan had the high game (208) and high series (390). McCann Tech’s Kalley Vanuni rolled a 366 series to finish second among the girls.
 
The other three 300s recorded in the high school league: Lee's Devyn Olds in 2010, Taconic's Joey Dewey in 2013 and Lee's J.T. Sorrentino in 2014.
 
The league heads south next Friday to bowl at Cove Lanes in Great Barrington.
