McCann Tech Harriers Split at Hampshire College

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- McCannTech’s boys and girls cross country teams each earned wins on Wednesday in a three-team meet at Hampshire College.
 
McCann Tech’s girls defeated Easthampton, 20-35, and fell to host Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School, 22-41.
 
Camryn Moran led the way with a second place finish. She crossed the line in 26 minutes, 55 seconds, to place second behind PVCICS’s Sarah Fardall (22:33).
 
Amy Harrington and Recca Vallieres placed fifth and eighth, respectively, for the Hornets.
 
In the boys race, the Hornets beat Easthampton, 20-37, and fell to PVCICS, 22-36.
 
Brandon Miller and Daniel McGrory finished in third and fourth places and one second apart for the McCann Tech boys.
 
Miller covered the 5-kilometer course in 21:08, just ahead of McGrory’s 21:09. PVCICS’s Odin More won the race in 17:14.
 
McCann Tech goes to Hampshire next Tuesday.
