McCann Tech Girls Win at St. Mary's

WESTFIELD, Mass. – McCann Tech’s Camryn Moran placed fifth in a three-team meet at St. Mary’s on Tuesday to lead the Hornets to a dual meet win over the host Saints.
 
Moran clocked a time of 22 minutes, 9 seconds, just more than two minutes behind first-place finisher Kathleen Barry of Hampshire (20:02).
 
Hampshire beat the Hornets, 16-47, in their dual meet.
 
McCann Tech’s girls posted a 25-32 win over St. Mary’s behind Moran, ninth-place Becca Vallieres and 10th-place Amy Harrington.
 
The McCann Tech boys dropped a 16-46 decision to Hampshire, which was led by Tim Cahill in 17:26.
 
The Hornets’ top finisher on the boys side was Brandon Miller, who crossed the finish line in 18:27. Chris Sunn (eighth) and Daniel McGrory (11th) also had strong runs for the Hornets, who picked up an uncontested win against the hosts.
