McCann Tech Golfers Start Strong with Road Win

ATHOL, Mass. – Nolan Booth carded a 2-over-par 37 on Monday to lead the McCann Tech golf team to a 162-186 win over Athol in the season opener.

 

Mason Rondeau and Gabe Thomas each carded a 40, and Kale Kondel finished at 45 to round out the scoring for the Hornets.

 

“The team put in some work over the summer and made some big improvements,” McCann Tech coach Pat Ryan said. “We had a great first week of practice. They were eager and ready to play today.”

 

Athol’s Ethan Heuer took medalist honors with a 35.

 

McCann Tech (1-0) goes to Smith Vocational on Friday.
