McCann Tech Boys, Girls Sweep Road Meet

MONTAGUE, Mass. – Tucker Wirtes and Kamilia Kondel each placed second on Wednesday to lead the McCann Tech boys and girls cross country teams to a pair of team wins apiece in a three-way meet.
 
The Hornets knocked off Hopkins and host Turners Falls in their second meet of the season.
 
Hopkins had the top finishers in the boys and girls races.
 
Deegan Austin-Dietz won the boys event in 19 minutes, 39 seconds. Caprial DiBartolomeo hit the finish line first among the girls in 20:59.
 
Wirtes clocked a time of 20:30.
 
Kamilia Kondel finished in 23:02, followed by teammate Aliza Rozon (23:40) in third place.
 
McCann Tech is at Mohawk Trail Regional on Sept. 17.
