Hornets Secure League Title with Home Win

ADAMS, Mass. – Landon LeClair carded a 36 Wednesday at Forest Park Country Club to lead the McCann Tech golf team to a 158-179 win over Smith Vocational.

 

Kale Kondel and Nolan Booth each finished at 39, and Gabe Thomas rounded out the scoring with a 44 as the Hornets secured a Bi-County Championship for the second straight year.

 

“This was a great way to maintain momentum before the Western Mass Tournament next week,” McCann Tech coach Pat Ryan said.

 

The Hornets get a few days off to rest and prepare for the Division 3 sectional at Agawam Country Club on Wednesday.

 

They may need it after a grueling stretch that saw the team play five matches in seven days plus the 18-hole Berkshire Classic for three players on Sunday.
