McCann Tech Golfers Start Season with Road Win

ATHOL, Mass. – Gabe Thomas carded a 7-over-par 42 to lead the McCann Tech golf team to a 180-215 win over Athol on Opening Day Monday.

 

Kale Kondel backed up Thomas with a 44, and Nick Varellas and Jayden Dean rounded out the scoring for the Hornets with rounds of 46 and 48, respectively.

 

Brandon Sinopli did not factor into the team score but finished his day strong with a birdie on the 387-yard, par-4 ninth hole.

 

McCann Tech (1-0) is on the road again on Thursday to take on Mohawk Trail.
